Best way to track my expenses

Keeping track of your expenses is not only important for cash flow but it’s also a legal requirement when it comes to paying your tax bill. Without proof of your outgoings you won’t be able to claim them against your tax. Missing receipts and invoices are a problem for many business owners, that’s why we use Dext for all of our clients in order to capture their receipt and invoices digitally.

Dext is really easy to use and you can download an app on your mobile phone so that you can snap pictures of your receipts as you spend. No chance of losing your receipts once they are uploaded to the cloud!

Using Dext is also great for the environment as you no longer need to print off invoices which come into your inbox. You can simply forward the email containing the PDF attachment, or if the invoice is within the body of the email then that can be sent directly too, to your dedicated Dext inbox. You could save even more time by asking suppliers to copy in your Dext inbox so that you don’t have to forward!

Having all your receipts and invoices stored safely in one place means you’re much more organised and efficient. The best feature about Dext is that it integrates with your Xero software so you can see all of your incoming and outgoing transactions at a glance. Reporting is much more accurate this way, giving you access to your financial position in real time.

So if you’ve been finding it difficult to keep track of your spending then please get in touch. We would love to implement our bookkeeping process in your business to enhance your productivity and efficiency.
