How can a bookkeeper help businesses in the care industry?

If you’re a business who works in the care industry you’ll need to find a reliable bookkeeper who is considerate of the industry you work in. It’s also important that they have the relevant experience in order for you to gain access to crucial funding and comply with regulations.

At Bluebells bookkeeping we’ve got over 3 years of experience working within the care sector. Before starting my bookkeeping business I worked with various companies who provided support to those with mental health challenges and learning difficulties for around 10 years. I am also a director for the CIC, NAC, which is such a worthwhile cause that I’m passionate about. With this background knowledge it made sense to help businesses in the care sector with their bookkeeping.

So how can we help you?

Expenses

As we have been helping businesses within the care industry for so long we know exactly what you can and can’t claim when it comes to business expenses. This is essential to keep your tax bill as low as possible and ensure you’re not claiming for anything which isn’t a tax deductible expense.

Record keeping

By law every business must keep financial records in order to submit returns to HMRC. We use cloud accounting to ensure this data is accurate and compliant with MTD. By using this software it means you have access to your financial information in real time, from anywhere you have an internet connection, night or day. This is really helpful for making important business decisions. I know in the care sector things can arise unexpectedly, so the more accurate and up to date your bookkeeping the better for decision making.

Supplier payments and invoicing

Invoicing on time is critical for your cash flow health. It’s also just as important to chase debtors to get the cash in on time. We can help with this. We understand you have to prioritise your care work over the admin, so leave it to us.

We’ll also get to know your suppliers, building relationships with them to negotiate deals and ensure they get paid on time to keep the relationship between you nice and healthy.

Deadlines

You’ll no longer need to worry about deadlines. Nothing will be done last minute. We’ll do your bookkeeping on a monthly basis so everything is in hand. No last minute rummaging for paperwork as it will all be stored in the cloud.

Reports

Our insightful reports which are generated from current and historical financial data will give you a glimpse into the future of your business. By analysing these reports together you will have a true understanding of what your numbers mean. We can put a plan of action together and discuss your goals and ambitions for the future.
